George had been one of the daily visitors to West Coast Care for years. He would say hello while making his rounds recycling. George suffered from PTSD, but this did not keep him from pushing forward to better his life. When asked how he was doing his reply was always “Blessed.”
After much perseverance, George received the benefits he had worked so hard for, and now he has a roof over his head. George did not forget those that had encouraged and helped him through his difficult time. In fact, he went as far as to purchase a car for one of the dear people that had been so faithful in assisting him along the way.
We are very proud of George for persevering – and for paying it forward. These amazing stories continue to surface from the homeless community, and we are thankful to share in the journey.
